Finally, Brett Kavanaugh has been sworn in as a US Supreme Court justice

Brett Kavanaugh was sworn in as Supreme Court Justice after being severely denied by the US Senate.



The Senate runoff gave President Donald Trump a wicket tournament that could be dealt with in a generation after a battle that swept through the country's cultural, gender, and political divisions.



Judge Kavanaugh quickly entered the courthouse off Capitol Street as protesters shouted outside. The closed-door vote was 50-48 when Vice-President Mike Pence led the vocal presentation and his potential binding vote became useless.



Kavanaugh replaces retired judge Anthony Kennedy, who was a crucial choice on issues such as abortion, campaign finance and same-sex marriage.
